I want to thank Kevin Griffith (Top Dog K-9) for his dedication, hardwork, passion, and expert knowledge in training my boys. We used him for boarding while on vacation with the intentions of leaving them as long as needed. Both boys came back absolute gentlemen! Kevin was even able to completely transform my little 9 lb monster, who has some serious little dog syndrome. Barkley is no longer barking, growling, nor lunging at other dogs, along with completely comprehending the word "No." The added bonus is, he is now walking off lease and sticking right by my side!

Most of all, I love Kevin's honesty! After just 5 days of boarding, Kevin actually sent home my big 95 lb Newfydoodle because of his excellent behavior. However, Barkley needed 2 weeks...lol. Job well done!!! They will definitely be back to visit!

Kevin is kind and it was clear on our initial consultation with him that he is in this industry because he is passionate about it. One of the many things I appreciated about Kevin is he will use your dogs strengths when training. He recognizes, like us, every dog has their own personality and he works hard to get to know them to ensure the training he provides is custom to them for the best results. My only regret is I didn't send Theodore sooner.

My wife and I were definitely apprehensive when it came to making a decision on how to approach training our dog Barkley.  As the name suggests, he would consistently bark at the TV making watching a show or a movie nearly impossible.  He was also very difficult to walk on a leash, constantly pulling whoever was on the other end.  We were referred to Kevin through a neighbourhood group, and upon meeting him we were immediately drawn to his passion for training dogs and his impressive resume as a K9 officer.

Leaving our dog with someone else for a month was definitely a bit nerve-wrecking, and we missed Barkley dearly during that time.  Although we were unsure what to expect, we were so surprised to meet the "new Barkley" when Kevin brought him back to our house a month later.  It has only been a week or so with Barkley home, but the barking at the TV has almost completely subsided.  When he does act out, he is quickly corrected using the techniques taught to us by Kevin.  When walking on a leash, Barkley no longer pulls.  Instead, we walks directly next to us and even stops and sits every time we stop.  He also understands sit, stay, and down (although we are still working on consistency).

Although there is still a lot of work to be done on our end, we couldn't be happier with the work Kevin did.    We have seen so much improvement in such a short period of time.  We look forward to continuing to use Kevin's techniques and watch Barkley continue to improve!

To say our family is thankful for Kevin at Top Dog- K9 is by far an understatement!!! He has helped to make loving our Tucker boy easy. When we first got Tucker, he was and still is the most loving puppy.. but as he got older his energy level increased and he became so difficult for us to manage some of his behaviors. Walking him was by far the hardest and one that I ended up dreading. He also had an attention span of a fly which made teaching him difficult, especially living in a super busy household with another puppy and two young children. My husband and I were at our breaking point and sadly, we were starting to become frustrated with this innocent pup. This is where Kevin comes in! After meeting Kevin, I had a feeling this would be a perfect match for Tucker.

He provides an enormous amount of structure with so much love and guidance. After completing the 4 week board and train, our boy came home a better version of himself. Tucker can now go for walks that are enjoyable for us as well as for him! He listens and follows commands. We were a little nervous to pick Tucker up after the 4 weeks…we were hoping that we were going to be able to follow through this new regimen. Kevin made this process as easy as can be. He explained in detail how to handle him, provided so many demonstrations, had us practice in front of him in case we needed some guidance/corrections and has been such a blessing to be able to call or text him for follow up questions or reassurance. It was not an easy decision for us to hand over our 7 month old puppy, but knowing he was going to gain the structure he was craving- all while in the MOST loving environment was/is priceless.

We can NOT thank Kevin enough. If you are thinking of completing dog training (board and train) look no further… he will change your life and your puppy’s life for the better. #FUReverthankful :)

I’d like to thank Kevin with Top Dog K-9 for training my dog Winnie. Kevin did such an amazing job with her. Winnie now "sits" and "places" on command. Winnie is also able to walk with out dragging me around. Winnie is a completely different dog, thanks to Kevin. Kevin  also recommended a raw food diet due to Winnie's dry and bumpy skin, within  3 weeks it cleared all the red bumps and other issues she was having with her skin. It shows that he truly cares about your dog. Kevin truly helped Winnie and I highly recommend him for anything that has to do with dogs.

My two dogs trained with him and I'm happy to say they are a completely different dogs now. He cares tremendously and will go out of his way to satisfy any needs. Highly recommend him!

We couldn’t recommend Kevin with Top Dog K-9 enough.  Our Goldendoodle was in serious need of training and command obedience. Since then, our Callie has improved leaps and bounds and has made a world of difference.  Callie now routinely listens and follows commands, and even regular dog walking is so much easier and enjoyable.  If your dog is in need of training or any kind of need, please see Kevin.
