Top Dog K-9, LLC was founded by Kevin Griffith. Kevin has over 19+ years of law enforcement experience, of which he has spent 10 years in the K-9 unit. He is currently a Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) K-9 handler and was previously certified by the North American Police Work Dog Association (NAPWDA).
As retirement nears from his police canine career, Kevin has chosen to put his knowledge and expertise in helping clients with their furry friends' behavior training along with building a better relationship and bond between them.
Kevin has worked with two canine partners (Sirus and currently Kane) throughout his canine career, assisted with training numerous K-9 patrol teams, and has suited up and decoyed for 100’s of canine teams throughout South Florida.
Originally from New York, Kevin moved to South Florida at age 17 and fulfilled his dream of becoming a K-9 Officer. He has worked with numerous dogs, which include small breeds such as Yorkies, as well as Belgium Malinois, German Shepherds, and larger breeds like Great Danes. Kevin’s expertise with all breed demeanors and temperaments has ensured the successful training of his client’s canines. He believes that nothing is more fulfilling than working with man’s best friend.
Kevin has received several awards and recognitions such as several life-saving awards, Unit Awards and was also involved in locating large amounts of drugs and weapons with his partner at the time “Sirus”. Kevin and his partners have also located and taken off the streets some violent suspects.
